Jesus Christ is the head of the local church and God’s good design is for the local church to be the primary context for christian discipleship and growth.
Church membership is a formal commitment between a church and an individual Christian, characterized by the church’s oversight of and care for the Christian, and the Christian living out his or her life in the context of the local church.
